Ok ok...a real post

So really my life is not as empty as I put yesterday...just thought I'd tease the tiny minority of people who actually read my blog! :-)

Life is going well for me...except for the small amount of work being done on my masters...fortunately I've finished debugging my code (at least for a while), and I've moved onto better, more interesting things, so I should be able to get more done. By better more interesting things I mean more pure math and matrix calculations! muahahahah! :-S

ergh...ya, it's very mathy, and not very applied, at least not for the moment. I have a bit of theory to work out before I can begin to apply anything to something realistic. And honestly, the math is not THAT boring. Some of the algebraic concepts and their proofs are quite interesting actually! :-)

Things with CC are going pretty well...her b-day was last week and there was a climbing/partying event thrown by her friends that was really nice, last Sunday. They got her the lead climbing course that she's been signed up for as a gift! That matches perfectly with what I got her, which was a grigri belay device!

The weather has finally turned sunny and warm, and so I've pulled out my road bike! Yeeeeehaw! I rode my bike to work for the first time this season today, and does it ever feel good. No more silly waiting at the station for the bus! I also got some fancy schmancy new mountain bikin shoes which I have yet to try out...they were $100 off, how could I resist?!

Speaking of waiting for buses, yesterday I had to leave work early to pick up my students' lab notebooks for marking, at the downtown campus. So I waited for the bus, took it to Downsview station only to realize that I'd left my wallet at UTIAS! argh. I waited 10 minutes for the bus to go again northward (the same bus I'd taken from UTIAS) and went back. I got my wallet, and then again waited for the bus southward (I was hoping it would be the same driver, but alas he was not that fast). Finally I managed to get downtown, 2 hours after I left UTIAS, only to be told that the professor from whom I was to pick up the notebooks wasn't there and hadn't been all day! ARGH!!! What a waste of time.

I'm also getting pretty excited about my upcoming trip to Kentucky, easter weekend. I've been practising lead climbing a LOT more, and have managed to do a 5.10b on lead pretty easily! woohoo! I've also been reading my climbing book a lot...learning how to do all the things I need to do outside.

So what do people think of my photos? I've heard Peter's Garage is getting pretty boring...I guess I have to start looking for more creative ways of photographing it. Should be fun! Last week I was wandering Kensington with CC and we noticed a really cute white cat, and she started petting it. I had a digital camera with me, so I started taking pictures, and then I noticed there was some woman with a professional looking video camera also taking some footage...when I showed her the pictures I'd taken she said she'd be interested in using the photo for the proposal she's making for a documentary about stray cats, and then if the proposal is successful, she is interested in more photos! My first journalistic assignment! Interesting, no? :-)

That's it for now...ciaociao
