Following one of the
comments on one of the last images, I've decided to post some un-photoshopped versions of two of them.

For this picture I lightened most of the image a little bit, except for the parts in and around the white waterfall, highlighted certain specific parts like the bubbles in the water and the brighter branches on the trees or the roots, adjusted the curves to bring up the contrast a bit, and finally adjusted the colours in the bluish parts of the water to emphasize that a little bit.

Here, I increased contrast and brightness to the right of the river and in the foreground with curves, and increased the overall brightness of the entire image with levels....all things that can easily be done in a real darkroom. :-)

And lastly, a suggested crop of the Jura Panorama photo. I think the house really adds something, but the composition of that image is a bit off somehow.
