finally a post
I have been up to lots of stuff, but been too lazy to post. So instead I will just show a picture of an event I went to recently, and talk about it later.

Boring update
Here is, for your reading pleasure, an update of the things I have done in the last while. This is a boring kind of post, I know, but it's been a fun week.
So, beginning on, let's see...Wednesday, what did I do wednesday? Oh, I went to a BBQ for a friend who's been in England for a year or two or something and is back for two days. On Thursday I went to the doctor and he told me 'NO ALCOHOL! NO CAFFEINE! EVEN DECAF!' boooooo :-( No Alcohol or coffee may make GSM a dull boy...but I think I'll be alright, I'll just have to practise being naturally high. then Thursday night I went to meet my friend KEPs law buddies at the Pilot, that was pretty fun! (Apparently I was a hit...go figure). Friday night I hung out with my ex- ex-, and it was really quite nice. We went biking on Toronto Islands, then ate some yummy Gelato at Solferino's (best gelato in Toronto I think), and then ate some savoury crepes at Cafe Crepe. A nice afternoon. The best part I think was that I was able to talk to her as friends about our summer together quite comfortably, and just as a nice time in the past. On saturday I rode my bike up to Albion hills, where some of my friends were participating in a 24 hour race (tag team! yikes), and rode back...it was a nice ride, except for the rain and the massive chills I was getting near the end. I had to stop for an emergency Mars bar, because the rain was not cold enough to explain my chilliness, I think I was massively low on energy. Then that night, after watching a silly chinese comedy (subtitled in english) about smelly princesses and deodorant, I went to the Madison with some other friends, which is always fun. And today, I went to my second Toronto Photography Meetup Group event, which was a BBQ on Ward Island. It was really really fun, I met some very cool and interesting people (who know SO much about photography!). I have learned more about photography in the last few weeks even just reading the TPMG message board than I had in years prior. And they are mostly pretty cool and funny people. I will definitely be going to other events.
That's the weekend!

The Perfect Girl
My friend was over to pick up my light set that he needs for a mountain biking race he's doing (24 hours tag team...yikes!), and as we're both single we began talking about what features we look for in girls. We ended up with quite a large list. The perfect girl must:
These were the requirements that both of us had. Now my personal requirements (that differ quite a bit from his), and things I thought of after, are that she should
I'm sure I will think of other things as time goes on, but that's it for now! Is it too much to ask?!
- have good chemistry with me
- enjoy physical activity (of all sorts!)
- be able to effectively participate in said physical activities
- have a logical mind
- have a quirky sense of humour
- have no major psychological problems or depressive tendencies
- be easy to talk to
- be a polite smoker if she smokes
- not be a girly-girl (i.e. breaking a finger nail should not phase her), but a bit of ditzy-ness is ok, to me I think...these two statements seem to contradict each other, but girly-girl does not equal ditzy-ness
- be adventurous
- have at least an undergraduate university degree, or be on her way to one.
- enjoy nature and being outdoors
- enjoy many of the same hobbies as I do, or at least similar ones that I could be at least mildly interested in.
- have granola-girl tendencies, but not be a full-on granola girl (although it might seem shallow...hairy armpits are a turn-off)
- adore me and follow me wherever I go...heh, ok, maybe that's a bit much.
- be laid-back and easy-going, and not sweat the small stuff, such as how I squeeze a tube of toothpaste, or where something goes in the kitchen
- be willing to compromise and make the relationship work.
These were the requirements that both of us had. Now my personal requirements (that differ quite a bit from his), and things I thought of after, are that she should
- be asian
- be willing to smoke up once in a while, but not be a pot-head.
- be thin but not so skinny that you can see her bones and doesn't have any nice curves left :-P
- enjoy travelling and learning about other cultures
- enjoy learning new languages
- preferably be non-vegetarian...I like cooking and serving yummy rare steaks, and it would be awesome if she would eat it!
- be outgoing and talkative...there's nothing better than being with a girl that likes chatting and meeting new people just as much as I do.
- like my friends, and I must like hers.
I'm sure I will think of other things as time goes on, but that's it for now! Is it too much to ask?!

Let's see....
I have no photos to post recently....quite upsetting. I would be posting some from Oregon, but they were all scanned like crap by Black's Photography, which I maintain is run by a bunch of little kids that don't know anything. Even on the second scan they screwed it up, despite the guy being friendly and helpful.
I recently found out about a group called the Toronto Photography Meetup Group, which is really just an informal collection of people interested in photography that (surprise surprise) meet up ever once in a while to take photos and socialize. It was pretty cool...I met a guy there that I've known about for years and years, I met him only online in the chat room associated with the first photography web site I joined (www.usefilm.com). All in all it was pretty fun, and I will hopefully be going out to more events...and buying a new wide angle lens some time soon :-P

Hello hello
been a while since my last post. I've been busy and sleepy.
I got an email from Mel today....it made my heart race still. She is in Vancouver leaving for Indonesia tonight. She really wants to still be friends....and I haven't decided what to do about it yet. On one hand, she did make me pretty miserable and angry a lot of times. On the other hand, I have a hard time staying angry, and we do have a shitload in common, and have fun doing stuff together, and it would be a shame to lose that. Maybe she could end up being a really great friend and we'd be better off that way? At the moment that seems too weird...I can't imagine talking to her about my future girlfriends! :-S But doesn't that happen sometimes? you date someone and then end up being just really good friends?
